Ruby M. Cacy
Ruby M. (Haynes) Cacy of Exeter, Calif., went to be with her Lord on July 26, 2017, at the age of 89.
Ruby was born on Dec. 6, 1927 in Longmont, Colo. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Gertrude Haynes. She lived in Longmont until the age of 2 when the family moved to California, making their home in Exeter. Ruby graduated from Exeter Union High School and in 1946 she met and married her husband, Kenneth Cacy, also of Exeter, who had just returned from World War II.
During her years of raising their family, she worked for Exeter Citrus, Exeter School District and worked alongside her husband, Kenneth, building their farming operation, K. E. Cacy Ranches. They were married 38 years when Kenneth passed away in 1984.
Ruby continued the farming operation up to the time of her death. She and Kenneth enjoyed their many trips to Cayucos, Calif. throughout the years. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Visalia, Calif. Ruby also enjoyed being a member of Bible Study Fellowship for 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; sister, Dolores Upton; and brother, Bill Haynes, all of Exeter.
Ruby leaves behind her three children, Diana Hanna (Herb) of Blythe Calif., Debra Ezelle (Paul) of Exeter Calif., and Greg Cacy of Exeter, Calif.; five grandchildren, Judith Browder (Jim), Chad Frazier (Danielle), Cacy Frazier (Nicole), Brad Hanna (Laura), Kaytlyn Cacy; and eight beautiful great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Arlan Haynes, sister, Connie George both of Exeter, and many nieces and nephews.
Ruby was laid to rest July 31, 2017 at the Exeter District Cemetery next to her husband, Kenneth, in a private family graveside service. Arrangements by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter, CA.
