Wanda Ayers passed away in Visalia, Calif. She was 87 years old.  She was preceded in death by her constant companions, husband, Ras Ayers, and son, Merle Ayers; beloved parents, Huley and Ethel Pinion; and sisters Bertha Smith, Colleen Dodson, and Norma Phillips.  She was the loving caretaker for her handicapped son, Merle, for many years and will enjoy her reunion with her husband and son.

Wanda was suffering from age-related illnesses. We will miss her loving support but are comforted knowing she is feeling no pain and her next awareness will be a strong body and seeing loved ones she has been missing.

Wanda was an avid fisherwoman and she passed along her knowledge to her grandsons.  They enjoyed a friendly competition and would share their secrets only after proof of who was the best at the sport.  They will think of their grandparents and Uncle Merle whenever they have the chance to go fishing in the future.

She is survived by daughter, Joyce Parish (Ron), grandsons, Eric Parish (Tanya) and Brice Parish (Jessica), and grandchildren Fletcher and Anouk Parish (children of Eric Parish); brothers Glen Pinion (Marsha) and Kenneth Pinion (Sandy); sisters Joyce Odeline Wyatt (Junior) and Kay Youngblood (Merle); Aunt Carol Everett, sisters-in-law Sylvia Childress, Elderee Scrimpshire, and Patty Ayers; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at Cameron Creek Church, 29076 Road 164 in Farmersville, Calif.  Visitation to be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Smith Family Chapel in Exeter, Calif. Graveside rites are at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at Exeter Cemetery.
