Robert Charles Waller, formerly of Lindsay, Calif., died on Nov. 26, 2018 at the age of 76. Waller was born to Melvin and Reba Waller on Dec. 30, 1941 in Casa Grande, Ariz. His family eventually moved to Lindsay-Strathmore area where he graduated from Strathmore High School in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965 before returning to Lindsay, where became co-owner of brink plant for many years. He later worked at General Cable in Lindsay for 15 years before retiring to Arizona. He was known as a people person and was very friendly.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty; two sons, David Waller of Arizona City, Ariz. and Christopher Waller of California; a daughter, Wendy Delk of Colorado; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation followed by a memorial service was held on Monday, Dec. 3 at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Burial was in the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana.
