Victoria Lei Nagle of Exeter, Calif. passed away this month at the age of 70. Victoria, better known as Vicki, was born in Hilo, Hawaii on Oct. 17, 1948 to Frank and Angelina Baptiste. Her family moved to Northern California where she graduated from St. Elizabeth’s High School in 1966 in Oakland, California. Vicki began working for Svenhard’s Bakery at 18. She was employed there for over 45 years. Vicki married at 19 and started her family, with the birth of her daughter, Ronni. Vicki worked for Fremont Christian for a time and then went back to Svenhard’s Swedish Bakery.
Vicki and daughter Ronni relocated to Exeter, Calif. for a job transfer with the bakery. That was 20 years ago. Vicki attended Fremont First Assembly, Visalia First Assembly, Church of God Exeter, and The Visalia Nazarene Church. Her grandchildren were her everything, Jeremiah and Maci, they brought her much happiness in life. Vicki enjoyed Bible studies, playing cards, and board games. She was a fantastic cook. She loved to read, she enjoyed listening to classic radio shows, and watching movies, new and old.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Angelina, and her brother Vernon Baptiste.
She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Ronni) Doyal and Ronni’s husband Eric, and their two children Jeremiah and Maci. Also, Vicki’s sister Beverly as well as many extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Visalia Nazarene Church. Reception on site.
