Lorene Holdsworth, a homemaker and resident of Simi Valley, Calif., passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord on July 7, 2021 in Simi Valley after several months of declining health.
Lorene was born on Jan. 22, 1934 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Leora and Lloyd Gerritsen. She married John Holdsworth on March 3, 1956 and they were married for 42 years until his passing on Nov. 18, 1998.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Holdsworth; her parents; two sisters, Laura Lee Pitts of New York in 2014 and Carol Boone of Washington state in 2021.
Lorene is survived by her three children and their spouses, Ray Holdsworth (Patricia) of Porterville, Calif., Karen Creek (Jimmy) of Simi Valley, Calif., Jane Gonzales (Carlos) of Newbury Park, Calif., and a brother-in law Daniel Boone of Washington state. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews across the U.S.
A private memorial service will be held in Simi Valley. Private interment will be held in Exeter, Calif., at a later date.
