It is with great sadness that the Hirayama family announce the passing of Russell Hirayama. He passed away in San Francisco on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at the age of 68.

Russell is survived by his wife Jill; children, Kari Sarantakis (husband Robert), and Scott Hirayama (wife Karla); four grandchildren, Madden, Tatum, Christo and Mila; siblings Stanley, Susan and Becky and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ross.
Born Sept. 30, 1954 to Tsugio “Truck” and Chiyoko Hirayama and raised in Lindsay, Calif. where he was active in many sports and clubs. Russell graduated from UC Davis with a degree in economics. Russell and his family lived in the Bay Area where he worked in the title industry.
Russell enjoyed his cigars, golfing, fishing, gardening and playing with his beloved grandchildren.
