Patricia A. Trombino, 1939–2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) A. Trombino (Douglass), 84 years. Heaven gained an amazing angel on Feb. 8, 2024. She recently moved to Wilsonville, Ore. to be closer to family, with California being truly “home” to her having lived in El Dorado Hills, Brentwood, Danville and Exeter, Calif.

Patricia Trombino
1939–2024

Born on Aug. 18, 1939 in Exeter, Calif. to parents Sydney Lanier and Josephine Douglass, she was a loving sister to brother Jim Douglass and sister Jean Cunningham (Douglass). In her early years, family time was spent at their cattle ranch where Pat especially enjoyed horseback riding. Her spirited personality, dimples and infectious smile left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She attended Fresno State University before embarking on a path with United Airlines as a flight attendant for several years before marrying and starting a family. It was her fulfilling years in banking, particularly Home Fed Bank, that spanned over decades which led to many meaningful, deep friendships with her colleagues. Her professionalism and commitment to the industry landed her a “Woman of the Year” award. Subsequent to hanging up her “banking” hat, her last employment before retirement was with Manpower employment services.

In addition to her career, Pat loved cooking and traveling, with Italy holding a special place in her heart. In her spare time, she was an active volunteer with various organizations including the Brentwood, Calif. Chamber of Commerce and Assistance League of Sacramento, to name a few.

Patricia’s family was the centerpiece of her life. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Inger and Tracy and a loving wife for 30+ years to her late husband, Richard Trombino, and step-mother to five of Richard’s children, Karen, David, William, Lorraine and Katherine.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Inger Latreille and son-in-law, Jeff Latreille of Troutville, Va.; her daughter, Tracy Hansen, and son-in-law, Timothy Hansen of Lake Oswego, Ore.; grandchildren, Hannah Latreille, Shane Latreille, Jarod Hansen and Dillon Hansen; brother, Jim Douglass and sister-in-law, Linda Douglass; nieces, Catherine McCall and Sharon McCall; nephew, Brian Douglass; three great-grandchildren, Easton Belmont, Carson List and Sofia List.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. As we say goodbye for now to Patricia, we also say thank you. Thank you for the laughter, the invaluable lessons, and the unwavering love. Your spirit will forever guide us, and your memory will always be a beacon of light in our lives.
