Abel led the Linday offense from his quarterback position to their first league win in the Orange Crate game on Oct. 31.
Gamboa topped the section's best passer, Drew Branch, throwing for 212 yards on 12-of-32 passing.
His first touchdown pass came in the third quarter on a 12 yard completion to John Gonzalez. He hit Gonzalez again in the fourth quarter on a 21 yard pass.
At the time Abel was the sections eighth-rated passer having completed 95-of-202 passes for 1,443 yards. He had 14 touchdown passes and nine interceptions.
