The College of the Sequoias womens basketball team lost to Golden West College on the third day of play at the DeAnza Tournament on Monday.
Trailing 19-7 early in the game, the Giants fought back to tie the game 24-24 at the half.
With the score even Gigi Hererra missed an opportunity to end the game in regulation and the Giants eventually fell 69-64.
"It's tough to lose in overtime," COS coach Mark Avedian said. "I think we did alright though."
Former Lindsay Cardinal Diana Santillan led the team in scoring in each of the three games scoring a high of 16 points against Reedley.
On Sunday they beat Marin 60-54 in overtime and they lost to Reedley on Saturday 75-57.
The Giants will take on Reedley again on Saturday Jan. 10 in Reedley for their first conference game of the year.
On Jan. 14 they will play their first home conference game of the year against Merced at 5 p.m.
