Exeter wrestlers Dan Weatherly and Oscar Botello each placed in the top 10 in their weight class at the Doc Buchanan Invitational in Clovis over the weekend.
The two-day wrestling event features some of the best wrestlers on the west coast, including some from the defending state champion in New Mexico Rio Rancho High School.
Weatherly finished with a 5-2 record in the 130 pound weight class. His final match in the tournament was a 2-0 loss in the consolation championship versus Jonathan Ronny from James Logan High School.
He got to the consolation championship by defeating Joseph Ochoa from Reedley in a 5-3 decision.
