Brenda Rangel was named Cardinal of the Week this week for her performance in the Lindsay Cardinals girls soccer game against Corcoran.
Rangel scored two penalty kick goals in the tie breaking shootout to help Lindsay win their first league game.
As a second year starter she plays the forward position and leads the team in scoring with 13 goals. Currently, Brenda had 21 career goals and she is an excellent passer with five assists this year.
With great quickness and ball control she scored two goals in the Strathmore Tournament earlier this year, leading Lindsay to a second place finish. This is her third year playing organized soccer and she is a natural. Las year she scored a career high three goals against Dinuba. She received the coache's award and was selected to the All East Sequoia League Team.
