Jesus Medina is starting his second year as the team's goalie. He is the engine that runs the Cardinals team.
As a team captain he is the leader on the field in every game, directing the defensive strategy.
In the last 10 minutes against Orosi, Jesus led the team to victory by stopping a critical penalty kick. He preserved the 3-2 lead that Lindsay had at the time. Throughout the season Medina has topped three penalty kicks out of four attempted. He currently averages 11 saves per game.
Last year Jesus was a Second Team All League selection. His goal is to make First Team All League status this year and also to make the playoffs.
