The Exeter Monarchs golf team is off to a 2-2 start this season following last year's remarkable 35-2 record.
Without their top three golfers from a year ago the Monarchs struggled against Tulare Union on Thursday at Sierra View Golf Course losing 210-224.
Alex Garcia and Rilea each shot a team best 43 and returning league champion Cory Cordero shot a 44.
Clayde Barkley shot a 46 and Steven Thompson shot a 48 on the day.
Tulare Union's Spencer Adkins and Matt Cox each shot a match best 39.
As of press time the Monarchs match against Granite Hills had yet to be played and results can be found in the March 17 issue of The Exeter Sun.
