As a part of the No. 1 doubles team for the Lindsay Cardinals boys tennis team, Roger Mendoza was named Cardinal of the Week for his performance against Corcoran on March 26.
On March 30, Mendoza and Fonseca provided one of only three wins to defeat the Strathmore Spartans.
With his partner Danny Fonseca, they shutout their three opponents 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Mendoza's serving strength was overwhelming with a career high 20 aces.
Currently Mendoza is No.1 on the team's ladder and started the season as a singles player going 6-4 in that span.
He is averaging seven aces a match and since becoming a doubles player had produced a record of 9-0.
