The Exeter Monarchs boys and girls swim teams both had one goal in mind and both accomplished it May 7 at the East Sequoia League Championship at Woodlake High School.

Both the girls and the boys won ESL titles over second place Dinuba and both had considerable leads.

Exeter's relay team of Savannah Edwards, Danielle Woods, Cassi Jones and Lindsay Turner set the tone in the days first event by swimming the 200-yards medley relay in a time of 2:01.72, a full two seconds faster than the team from Dinuba. The Monarchs would eventually beat Dinuba by the score of 391.5-222.5.

Lindsay Turner and Savannah Edwards then finished one-two in the 200-yard freestyle along with teammate Rebecca Hellwig who was in third place.

Turner once again found her way to the top in the 100-yard freestyle and as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that included Leah Mitchell, Tricia D'Orazio and Woods.

Christy Lewis made her mark in the 200-yard individual medley with a first place finish and a time of 2:28.95, followed closely by teammate Jones with a second place 2:34.99. Lewis also took the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:50.00, with teammate Hellwig
