Lindsay Cardinals swimmer Steven Ingoldsby was named Cardinal of the week for his performance at the East Sequoia League Meet May 7 in Woodlake.
Ingoldsby improved his personal best times in the 100-yard freestyle (50.86) and in the 50-yard freestyle (23.08). Ingoldsby went undefeated for the entire season in the two events until the league meet.
He qualified for Division and Valley in both events and as a team captain led the Cardinals to a 4-1 ESL record.
For the past three years Ingoldsby has been selected the team's Most Valuable Swimmer and the team's captain.
His coaches say he has a great work ethic and it has paid off for him.
Last year he placed 12th and 14th at the Divisionals in the 50 and the 100 respectively.
