Spring sports award winners announced

Noe Orozco was named the Lindsay Cardinals baseball team's Most Valuable Player after posting a .378 bating average on the season.

Abel Gamboa concluded his impressive first season with the Rookie of the Year Award. Gamboa finished the season with a 6-4 record and an ERA of 2.69. First baseman Todd Collier got the nod for Most Improved Player.

Amanda Serda was named the softball team's Most Valuable Player after helping to turn around a losing season.

Rebekah Dial was given the Coach's Award and Amanda Hernandez and Amanda Estrada were named Best Infielder and Best Outfielder respectively.

In volleyball Anthony Gonzalez was named the team's Most Valuable Player and David Ross was named the Most Improved Player. John Salas was given the Coach's Award.

Llimi Lemus took home the Most Valuable Player award for the boys tennis team and Alfonso Jr. Lopez was named the Most Improved Player.

Steven Ingoldsby was named the Most Valuable Swimmer and Andres Rodriguez was the Most Improved.

Javier Loya was also named the Most Valuable Golfer.

Junior Varsity MVP awards were given to Daniel Tapia in baseball, Monica Montes for softball and Jacob Martinez for tennis.
