Chelsea Arroyo helped the Lindsay Skimmers with several wins against Fowler in the June 29 league match.
Arroyo, who competes in the 11- to 12-year-old division was integral in the 200 year medley relay first place win. Arroyo is the only 11-year-old on the team which includes Rachel Coles, Katie Shaw and Lupio Alexandra. The relay team dominated the water, finishing with a time of 2:39:84, more than a minute faster than the second place team.
The same group of girls make up the 11-12 freestyle relay team which took first in the 200-yard relay with a time of 2:24:39. They beat out teammates Bianca Palma, Briana Palma, Marina Huerta Mora and Natalie Munoz by :23.74.
Arroyo fared very well in the 50 freestyle taking first and beating out teammate Lupio Alexandria by just over four seconds with a time of 32.81seconds. Arroyo also placed first in the 50 yard backstroke and 100-yard Individual Medley (IM). Arroyo once again glided past teammates in these events with times of 36.70 in backstroke and 1:24.53 in the IM. Coles took second in back stroke with a 43.29 and Shaw took second in the IM with a 1:26.80.
Not to be outdone Shaw, a tough competitor took first in the 50 butterfly and 50 breaststroke events with times of 43.53 and 44.30 respectively.
Nicole Shaw ruled the girls 15-18 division taking first in the 50 freestyle, 100 IM, and 50 breaststroke. Shaw was also on the 200-yard medley relay team which took first with a time of 2:36.86.
AJ Reid was dominant in the boys 11- to 12-year-old division winning the 50-yard butterfly (35.54) and the 50-yard backstroke (39.55). Justin Morrillo won the IM and Alec Blue won the 50-yard breaststroke in the 15-to 18-year-old division.
