Morillo consistent for Skimmers at Finals

Jordan Morillo was the model of consistency for the Lindsay Skimmers at the Central Valley Recreation Swim League All Star Finals July 24 at the Krandal Swim Complex in Kingsburg.

Morillo finished second in three events and in each case trailed the leader by less than a second. She finished the 50-yard butterfly with a finals time of 29.98, the 100-yard individual medley in 1:06.18 and the 50-yard breaststroke in 33.56.

Steven Ingoldsby on the other hand was able to overcome his opponents when he bested Michael Coldren in the 100-yard freestyle. Ingoldsby finished almost three seconds ahead of the pack with a time of 50.80.

Other Skimmer's to shine in Kingsburg were Nicole Shaw who took third in the 15- to 18-year-old girls 100-yard individual medley (IM) and fifth in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 34.28. Wesley Coles, who also placed in the 10-and-under boys 100-yard IM, took third.

Chelsea Arroyo made her mark in the 50-yard backstroke in the girls 11- to 12-year old division with a fifth place time of 34.25 and Jamie Arroyo also finished in the fifth spot in the boys 8-and-under 25-yard backstroke with a time of 21.67.

Lindsay Blue finished just one second off the pace in the girls 9- to 10-year-old 25-yard breaststroke but finished sixth in a very close race.
