Fourth year varsity basketball player Nickie Salinas scored 17 points against Strathmore from her forward position to lead the Cardinals to victory.

She also controlled the boards with five rebounds and took two charges. In earlier action versus Farmersville, she scored a season high 26 points, hitting five treys.

Nickie is currently averaging 13 points per game with five rebounds. Her strengths are her inside play and her tremendous range from outside the arc. She has been a team captain for three years, leading the team on and off the court.

Last year, Nickie averaged 17.7 points per game. She has been selected First Team All League in the East Sequoia League for the past two years. She was has also been selected team MVP for the last two years. She was also selected to the All Tournament team at the Central Valley Christian and Strathmore Tournament last year.
