This month at Lindsay Recreation Authority's monthly meeting Supervisor Allen Ishida donated $4,000 towards Lindsay's Recreational Center Teen Zone. Teen Zone re-opened to the public on Monday, Feb. 28.

The re-opening was made possible due to a $6,000 contribution from the Lindsay Hospital District Board, $4,000 from the County Good Works Fund presented by Ishida and $2,000 from a School Safety and Violence Prevention grant from the Lindsay Unified School District. Teen Zone was established for continuity between now and the opening of Wellness Center. Overall 22 kids were in attendance playing basketball the day it re-opened. TZ will be open from 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Healthy Kids Healthy Lindsay Director Janie Elson told LRA that Norma Erwin, director of the After School Program, has agreed to pay the LRA $1,723 for its contributions to the After School Program.
