Exeter to host Babe Ruth Yankee Tourn.

Exeter is set to host this year's 15-year old Babe Ruth Yankee District 4 All-Star Tournament at Lions Stadium. The tournament will take place on June 30 through July 6.

All-Star teams from Exeter, Corcoran, Lemoore, Dinuba and Pixley will compete throughout the week to determine who will continue on to the next Yankee tournament.

The tournament will hold two games per night during the week and four games on Saturday and Sunday. The games are scheduled for the morning and evenings to avoid the heat. The Exeter team will compete in its first game at 5:30 p.m. on June 30 versus Lemoore.

The tournament follows the regular Babe Ruth season which ended on June 21. Allan Brown is the manager for the 15-year old Exeter All-stars with coaches Eddie Reynoso and Matt Hutcheson.

The 13-year old Exeter All-Star team will have their first tournament game at 7:30 p.m. on July 1 in Corcoran. They are led by manager Manuel Souza and coaches Tim Snodgrass and Larry Castro.

The 14-year old all-stars kick off their tournament on July 2, in Lemoore. The team is headed by manager Steve Garver and coach Kevin Kirkman.

Prices at Lions stadium will be $4 for adults, $3 for children 6-13 years old and free for children under 6. A snack bar will be available. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
