The Monarchs held their last regular home game last week when they hosted Dinuba on Friday, Nov. 4.

The Cardinals traditional Parent Appreciation Night turned cold as Lindsay fell 42- 21 to the second place Emperors.

Lindsay started strong with Vicente Rincon's two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Cardinals a 7-0 lead.

But the lead faded quickly as Dinuba put away a field goal and a touchdown before the end of the quarter.

Both teams battled and struggled going scoreless in the second quarter and breaking for halftime with a 10-7 Dinuba lead.

Dinuba scored again on a 17-yard pass in the third quarter and a twice more on 10-yard runs at the start of the fourth.

Lindsay made an effort before the close of the game when Gamboa connected with Jorge Orosco on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Rincon shined again as he broke through the Emporers defense on a two-yard touchdown run.

Dinuba closed the game with two final touchdowns at the end of the fourth to clench their victory.
