Lindsay, Exeter golfers look ahead for first league win

In Lindsay's first match of the year, the Cardinals lost to Tulare Union 24-0. Low medal winner for the match was Tulare's Spencer Atkins with 35 strokes.

Lindsay's No. 1 golfer, Michael Khal finished in eighth place with a 58. The Cardinals No. 2 golfer, Alex Macias, finished 10th with a 62. Sergio Aparicio, Lindsay's No. 3 golfer finished also in eighth place with a 58. No. 4 golfer Jordan Blue, shot a 63 and had a par on the 18th hole, a 505 yard par 5. Lindsay's No. 5 golfer, Jordan Markham, finished in seventh place with a 50. Markham had a par on the 13th hole, a 142-yard par 3. No. 6 golfer, Matt Salinas shot a 68 and also had a par on 18.

The Cardinals next host Orosi at 3:30 p.m. on Wed. March 22 at River Island Country Club.

Exeter Golf

The Monarchs fell 17-7 to CVC in a dual match on March 15.

Exeter's No. 1 golfer, senior Corey Cordeiro, scored a 45 on nine holes at the Sierra View golf course in Visalia. He tied in match play with CVC's Kirk Kindy.

No. 2 golfer, senior Robbie Engstrom had a 43 to beat CVC's Jordan Cooper, who scored a 44. Exeter's Chris Marks, No. 3 golfer, scored a 44 to beat CVC's Jordan McIntosh, 45.

Exeter's No. 4 golfer, Carlton Landers, scored a 47 to lose to Adam Tevelde who score d a 45.

CVC's No. 5 Korey Vanhofwegen, 44, defeated Exeter's Marcus Martinez, 54.

Stephen Dotta of CVC scored a 45 to defeat Exeter's No. 6 Patrick Dillon who golfed a 62.

Exeter will host Immanuel at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at Sierra View Golf Course. The match will be Exeter's second in league.
