The Exeter Union High School District is proposing Measure U to collect funds for Facilities Projects.

Listed below is information on the facilities which will be funded by state modernization, facility hardship, district and bond proceeds from Measure &#8220U” if passed on November 7.

The general obligation bond is for 5.1 million.

The state will provide $3.4 million in matching monies.

The cost to property owners will be based on $28.90 per year/ $100,000.00 assessed valuation.

The median home owner in the high school district will pay approximately $27.69 per year for 25 years (based on property assessed at $94,196.00).

The Exeter Union High School District facilities projects will meet the rehabilitation, modernization and curricular program change needs at Exeter Union High School, the Ag Farm, and Kaweah High School.

&#822060/40” State Match Project (The state of California pays 60% of the eligible costs of the project and the district pays a matching 40% plus any costs not state-cost eligible).

Convert the 10's wing to (4) modernized classrooms/performance and work areas

Upgrade the E.U.H.S. Ag Farm and Kaweah High School classrooms to meet current standards

Refurbish the E.U.H.S. Auditorium (Including new downstairs seating).

Refinish the floors, ad new ventilation system, and up-grade the interior of the Holaday Gym

Refurbish the Smith Gym (new seating, restrooms, locker area, improved acoustics, ventilation system, interior improvements and refinish/repair floor)

Construct a new lobby and concession area at the Smith Gym

Replace failed support structures in the old administration building and the central hallway

Convert the old administration building into modernized classrooms/performance and work areas

Replace outdated electrical transformers and upgrade electrical and alarm systems to meet current standards and technology demands

Refurbish hallway restroom facilities.
