The Lindsay girls soccer team suffered losses to both Woodlake and Parlier last week falling to 1-6-1 in league play and 8-10-3 overall.

In the Woodlake match, Goalkeeper Gabby Garcia made 23 saves in the loss overtime loss.

Woodlake's Nancy Marquez put in the goal on a corner kick from Janee Plunkett in the final minute of the second overtime.

&#8220We've never beaten Woodlake,” Lindsay coach Freddy Martinez said. &#8220That's been the monkey on my back.”

Lindsay had seven shots on goal but couldn't penetrate the defense forcing them to shoot from outside.

Against Parlier, the Lady Cardinals sent 11 shots towards the goal but came up empty in a 1-0 loss on a 20th minute goal by Parlier's Jocelyn Martinez.

The goal slipped past Garcia's hand for the goal.

“After they scored, we settled down and played a very defensive game,” Martinez said.

Garcia recorded six saves with her defense slowing down Parlier's attack.
