Wilson Middle School wins championship over Live Oak 2-1 in double overtime
EXETER – The Wilson Warriors girls soccer program has accomplished a tremendous amount of success over the past two seasons. Earlier in December the Warriors defended their Quad City League Championship.
In the finals Wilson faced a tough squad from Live Oak Middle School from Tulare. The two teams were so evenly matched it took two extra frames to be decided. In the second overtime Reagan Weber scored the game winning goal.
This was only after the Warriors had won both the Quad City and Whitney Leagues. Wilson won the Quad City title for the second straight year over teams from Lindsay, Woodlake, and Farmersville. Wilson only conceded three goals in league play. The Whitney League title was won over five middle schools in Porterville and Tulare.
Wilson took second out of eight teams at the Green Acres Tournament earlier in the season as well.
