Aztecs delivers solid victory on slippery field against Summit

Aztecs continue to rack up pre-league wins with 11-0 victory over Summit Charte

FARMERSVILLE – Coach Michael Jordan adds another victory to his award winning career after soundly defeating Summit Charter 11-0 at home last Wednesday.

Before Wednesday, Dec. 15, the Aztecs had a five-game winning streak. With a heavy senior-based team, Aztecs were able to score within the game’s first two minutes.

“I am happy with the performance, but I was more happy after I took my starters out, how the subs played,” said Jordan “that’s the future of our team—I was very impressed with how they kept working hard trying to pass, trying to keep the flow of the game going.”

The Aztecs scored nine total goals in the first half. Jorge Jacuinde finished the first half with two goals and six assists. He surpassed his own brother’s record during his time at Farmersville High School with five assists during a game.

Most seniors on this team have been playing with each other since they were in elementary school. Throughout the first half, the chemistry is shown by how well the players know how one another plays and where the right spot is to score.

“They have a great understanding of how each other plays and what they are going to do,” said Jordan.

In the second half, Aztecs were able to score two more goals ending the game at 11-0.
