Bethlehem Center seeking donations

The Sun-Gazette

The Bethlehem Center in Visalia is currently in great need of men’s shoes, socks and pants. These items are given out to the homeless men in our community and are also used to stock the center’s thrift store. The items in the thrift store are often used by the needy families in our community and are worn by working men and also for men seeking employment. Bethlehem Center is completely out of clothing for both our homeless men and the working men who use the thrift store.

Bethlehem Center volunteers and staff are urging our community to look inside their closets for what you no longer use and consider donating it to the Bethlehem Center. You may drop off donations Monday through Friday at the Bethlehem Center. The Bethlehem Center is located at 1638 N. Dinuba Blvd, Visalia CA 93291.

In an ongoing effort to help these men we also offer hygiene packs that include soap, shampoos, deodorant, razors, etc. The center is also accepting donations of these types of items at this time. These items are crucial for everyone in our society and especially for men in the workforce and those looking for employment. If you travel and have unused items from hotels, these are the perfect sized items to include in our hygiene kits. The center will put these items to good use.

The Bethlehem Center is also able to pick up large donations of furniture or collections from a clothing and food drive. For more information, call us at 734-1572.

“We, at the Bethlehem Center, are truly grateful for the overwhelming generosity of our community this past year and look forward to continuing our service for the neediest of us all.”
