Visalia Police Department arrest Anthony Martin in connection to shooting, death of 21-year-old female victim
VISALIA – Visalia police are investigating the murder of a young woman from Saturday evening, believed to be the result of a domestic violence dispute.
According to the Visalia Police Department, officers were dispatched at 4:52 p.m., officers to the 3900 block of E. Harvard Ave in regards to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old female, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Anthony David Martin, 20. He was found at another location and arrested for the murder. The suspected murder weapon was recovered, pending laboratory results. Martin was booked at the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for murder. This crime is being investigated as a domestic violence incident.
The name of the victim is being withheld as of press time.

Friday, Oct. 4
At 12:04 a.m. Visalia Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a single vehicle traffic collision at Dinuba and Houston. As they contacted the driver, Alberto Rellez, 35, he fled on foot refusing to stop for their commands. Once the officers caught up to the suspect, he struggled while being taken into custody. One of the officers received scrapes to his arms as a result. Located in the suspects waistband was a loaded firearm. Suspect was transported and booked at the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for resisting arrest and possession of a loaded firearm.
Thursday, Oct. 3
At approximately 4:16 a.m. the Visalia Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 4545 W. Noble, The Majestic Motel. Upon arrival officers learned that 2 subjects in a vehicle had confronted that victim, made gang related comments and fired a shot from a handgun. The suspects then fled into a room at the same motel. During the subsequent investigation the suspects were located and taken into custody. The firearm used in the incident was recovered. There were no injuries reported as a result of the shooting. Isiah Carrisalez, 25, and Juan Ruiz, 26, were booked for charges related to the shooting, gangs, and possession of a loaded and concealed firearm. Rudy Dominguez, 26, was booked for an outstanding felony warrant.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
At approximately 7:58 p.m., officers from the Visalia Police Department were dispatched to the Visalia Mall on South Mooney Boulevard regarding a grand theft that just occurred. Upon arrival officers learned an unknown suspect wearing all black, donning a red devil Halloween mask, entered Valliani Jewelers and proceeded to break a glass display case with a hammer. The suspect removed a number of wrist watches from the display case and exited the mall through the doors near the food court. Witnesses last saw the suspect leaving the area on a BMX style bicycle, heading West on Beech Avenue. The total loss to the business has not been established.
