Because autumn is the best season to plant California native plants, the Alta Peak Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will be offering a wide assortment of beautiful, drought tolerant native plants at its annual fall native plant sale. California’s own natural plants thrive in the hot, arid Central Valley as well as the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. These plants not only belong here, each little addition of created natural planted habitat provides important food and shelter for birds, butterflies and other important pollinators.
Please join us on Saturday! There will be over 250 types of native plants with specialists to help you find the right plant for your garden. There will be informative plant-related books for sale as well.
By joining the Alta Peak Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) membership at the annual plant sale, you’ll be eligible for a 10% discount on plant purchases along with a 20% discount on books. Membership also ensures you will receive information on wildflower field trips and native plant programs in Tulare County.
