HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESUMES IN-PERSON ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
After a 2-year hiatus of Habitat for Humanity of Tulare/Kings Counties’ signature fundraising event, a nearly two-decade long tradition, the 17th Annual Birdhouse Auction will be held in person once again at 6 p.m. on April 1 in Visalia, CA.
As a precaution against continued coronavirus concerns, Habitat will hold this live auction and dinner at the beautiful, outdoor venue The Woodlands, 4211 W. Goshen Ave. in Visalia.
The birdhouses to be auctioned are handmade, one-of-a-kind creations donated by local artists for the benefit of Habitat’s mission. The live and silent auction will take place as guests enjoy a wide selection of samplings from local restaurants, breweries, and wineries.
Habitat believes that affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. There is an immense change that happens when a family lives in a decent, affordable home. By eliminating the concern for shelter, Habitat Homeowners have the funds to provide decent food, clothing, education, and medical care for their families, potentially transforming their future and eventually giving them the opportunity to give back to the community that supported them.
Affordable housing is needed now more than ever and you can support Habitat’s mission by purchasing a ticket or sponsorship to the 17th Annual Birdhouse Auction and spreading the news through work and social media. Registration is available online and all funds raised will support affordable housing projects in Tulare and Kings counties.
